How To Become A Stock Broker

If you are interested in the stock market, you may be thinking to yourself, "How can I become a stockbroker?"

There is no educational background needed to get in this industry. The basic qualification you need is an interest in the market. But if the reason for your interest is to simply gain more money, you may end up frustrated. The stock market is a fast-paced, tedious industry, where you have to invest hours and hours to get yourself ahead and to understand the market. You must invest your time to collect a firm set of clientele. But even after having a good understanding of the market and having a set of loyal clients, there can still be curve balls you need to prepare yourself for. This preparation can only be acquired through time and experience. That is what you'll have to face when you get into the industry.

Before you actually get in the industry, you have to understand that normally, stockbrokers do not become stockbrokers right after graduation. To start off in the industry, you need to prepare yourself to acquire a license. To acquire your license, you have to find a brokerage firm. You need to be with this firm for at least four months to take the General Securities Registered Representative Examination. After passing that test, many states require you to also take the Uniform Securities Agents State Law Examination.

When you acquire your license, the conservative advice is for you to concentrate first on the industry that you are familiar with. If your background is in the computer industry, it is better if you start analyzing stocks from that industry. This will help you get a quick understanding on the behavior of the market.

How to Become a Professional Tarot Reader

Tarot card reading goes in and out of favor with the public on a regular basis. When it's hot, you can make a lot of money - perhaps even enough to live on. When readings are not the rage, as with any freelance career, you'll need to keep your day job.

Either way, if you're good at:

1. reading the cards

2. relating to people

3. marketing yourself

you can be assured of earning money.

How to Be a Popular Card Reader

The first thing to remember about reading cards professionally, is that your client can tell if you're sincere or not. You've got to be sincere. You've got to truly want the best for your client.

Secondly, you must always reassure your client that whatever comes up in the cards is not written in stone. Tell her that she alone determines her own fate. Remind her that the cards are simply reflecting patterns. They don't dictate what will happen to her.

If you get a "bad" card, for instance, don't just tell the client the "bad news." Tell her that she has an opportunity now to overcome a problem. Frame your card interpretations in a way that encourages her to find solutions to her life problems. You want to energize your client, fill her with hope and ambition, no matter what cards come up. Check out the Tarot section of the Psychic Tea Shoppe - all the readings, even the "reverse" cards, are hopeful.

Getting Work

You can go at this from many angles.

1. Get yourself hired by a telephone-based or Internet-based company. The company gets the clients and forwards them to you.

When you work for a phone-based company, you must have a dedicated phone line with no add-on's like call waiting. Log in to the company's computer when you want to work, and sit by the phone with your cards during the time you are logged in.

2. Go freelance. Like any professional, you'll need business cards and a website. You can take out ads in local periodicals if you'll be reading for people face to face. If your clients will come to you via phone or the web, you might consider Internet advertising.

3. Join a networking group - either a local in-person group, or an Internet group.

Freelance Tarot card reading opportunities include:

Reading at parties
Renting a booth at "psychic" or "new age" conventions and doing readings and promotion from there
Arranging for a table at a restaurant or bookstore, sometimes paying the establishment a percentage of your earnings and other times letting the bookstore use your services to draw in more store customers
Setting up an Internet reading site (requires getting a merchant credit card account and Paypal)
Setting up your own telephone Tarot reading business (again, you must get a credit card/Paypal account)
Reading the Tarot cards in person from a storefront. You can arrange for your storefront to be a part of an existing store, and pay rent. (For security reasons, don't read for clients out of your home, and don't go to anyone else's home - unless it's for a well-populated party.)
Legalities

There are many laws, ordinances, restrictions and town rules on the books, no matter where you read your Tarot cards. If you're reading for money, you absolutely must do the legal research first.

Keep records and pay taxes. I would suggest a computer-based bookkeeping program. And make back-ups every night! Keep the back-ups off-site in case of fire or theft, or purchase storage space on the Internet.

You're in a business that is not mainstream, and without excellent record keeping and impeccable tax returns, you're going to create problems for yourself.

And finally, I would suggest purchasing an inexpensive insurance liability policy.

Reading People

Being a professional Tarot card reader is an awesome opportunity to observe others, to get out of your own problems and needs, and to make your clients feel good about themselves. Observe them as they come in, sit down, make small talk. Don't be afraid to ask questions or let them talk out a problem. Catch their eye, make a connection. You'll get a better card reading.

The flip side is this: Don't let yourself be taken advantage of. When people start talking, they often can't stop. Set a timer when the client sits down. You're going to get many types of people as clients. Some will have big issues. Don't take it personally if someone becomes angry with you. And do usher the client out if they are rude or disrespectful.

Be good at reading the cards. Be intuitive about people. You'll make a fabulous Tarot reader.

Become a Secure Wireless Router - 3 Important Things to Know

To learn how to make a wireless router is important to know three things for backup: SSID, MAC address and WEP / WPA. Of course there are a number of abbreviations, which we discuss counted. There are many aspects of setting up a wireless router in a secure manner. These three things are not the only issues involved, but some of the most important.

First SSID

Service Set Identification is basically the name associated with a device on a network - in this case, theWi-Fi router. There is no password, user ID or username. But it has come into play when you connect to wireless networks. On most PCs or other wireless devices, you can view a list of available wireless networks. If you see this list on your device, you will notice that the devices have a name connected with them on the display. This is the SSID.

If you buy a wireless router, take it out of the box and plug it in, the chances that the SSID will show the name of the manufacturer. AHackers or others intent on invading your wireless network, the default settings in this way that they have a clue how to get around the system. Out of the box, most wireless routers have a default administrator password, which is also known to hackers. With the default SSID and default password can easily view their access to the wireless network.

So, if you set your router, change the SSID and the default password. A neutral name like "my router" is probably the best thing. Whilemay be tempted in a name like "TheSmithFamily" I said, only offers a few more details, trying to get into the system. You know the old joke, right? I'm not paranoid, but even paranoids have enemies!

There is another parameter on most wireless routers, the impact of the name to disable. Some say that you do not want to do this, and it is a waste of time because even sophisticated hackers and "script kiddies" with powerful applications they receive from the Interneteasy to find these "hidden" networks. But disabling the SSID broadcast makes it less objective, as I see it. It keeps the riff-raff!

Second MAC Address

A Media Access Control address or physical address, as it sometimes known is the most unequivocal identification of each network card. The MAC or physical address includes the identification of the manufacturer and "single number". Most wireless routers can do everything with the exception of addresses in your list or in a way thatI recommend you access to all the addresses, but in your list. For the MAC or physical address of your Windows or Linux, you want to help you get a DOS window or command prompt and type:. IPCONFIG / ALL or just IPCONFIG Find the MAC or physical address of the wireless network card. The MAC is 12 hexadecimal digits, separated using the digits 0-9 and letters AF, perhaps a dash or colon. Find the wireless router's configuration screen, which can be used as MACFiltering and enter the addresses of the authorized PC.

Also, do not rest on our laurels. MAC addresses are easily forged, copied or cloned. The router can also be the ability to clone a MAC address to your Internet service provider (ISP) has passed. Why bother? Now again a blip on the radar of someone less. Maybe I'm not too picky, or maybe I'm just looking for someone who is a completely open system must go.

3 WEP / WPA

WEP Wired Equivalent Privacy. And WPA is Wi-Fi Protected Access. WEP is the older protocol. Some call it the weak encryption protocol. Here you will find stories on the internet of this mixture in a few minutes. EPA's new and much more. There is a new version of WPA called WPA2.

To use WPA2, WPA or WEP in that order. If you have problems with WEP? Well, if all that is - yes. It 'better than nothing and may prevent those who want large capacity but not scary hacking encryptedSystem.

You are completely protected now? No, but you are in front of where you were! Sleep a little 'better!
