ATX Power Supply - The Simplest Way To Repair It

I had stopped repairing ATX power supply many years back due to the new one cost very cheap. It's not worth to repair it because the spare parts sometimes were much more expensive than getting a new power supply. Searching for ATX power supply spare parts was not easy as many of them you can't even find them on the internet. Not only that, many complicated and different designed by power supply manufacturers had eaten up our precious troubleshooting time too because of we need time to understand how all these different designed power supply work.

Some of the power supply designs were using the PWM IC (UC3842) and power FET, some use the double transistors while some use only a single power IC in the primary side. Because of the manufacturers wants the design to be made into compact size, many secondary or even primary power supply circuit were build into a modular board (smaller board). This made troubleshooting even more difficult because many times the meter's probe can't reach to the testing point.

The real reason why I had stopped repairing ATX power supply was the profit margin. If you charge to high the customers rather buy a new unit with one year warranty given. If you charge too low, you may end up in the losing side because of the components replaced, electricity and etc. If you charge reasonable, the profit margin gained can't even cover your time spent on troubleshooting it. I'm here not to discourage you to stop repairing ATX power supply, however if you have the time, have contacts getting cheap power supply components, easy to access many power supply schematic diagrams and etc then you may go ahead to repair it.

Okay back to the article, one of my customers had asked me to repair his ATX power supply. I told him to get a new one (since it was very cheap) but he said he couldn't find one that suits his customer's CPU. He wanted a power supply that is either same size or smaller then the original one with same or higher specification but all he could find was a standard size power supply!

As a favors to my customer, I would do my best to help him to repair the ATX power supply. When the power supply was switch on, measurements were taken. The results were over voltage. The 12 volts line shot up to 13 + volt and the 5 volts line became 5.6 volts. After the casing was removed, I found the inside was very dirty and I used a vacuum cleaner and a brush to clean off the dirt. Then I saw four filter electrolytic capacitors had bulged at the top casing.

As you know, we as electronic repairers can't just see things at only one side; we have to see the other sides too. What I mean was, try to see if there are any suspicious components that contributed to the failure of the power supply such as broken components, dry joints, loose connection, decay glue and etc before start checking the suspected area.

What I saw was at the primary side there were some components covered with decayed glue as seen in the picture. I have to carefully remove it by scrapping off the layers of the decayed glue while preserving the outer layers of the components. Once it was done, I clean it with the Thinner solution. Decayed glue could cause serious or intermittent problem in electronic equipment because it can be conductive.

If you repair any ATX power supply, make sure you check the fan too because some power supply failure was due to heat caused by a faulty fan. The purpose of the fan is to suck out all the heat generated by the components inside the power supply. In order for the fan to run smooth, you can service it by using a Philips oil base spray as shown in the photo.

Once the four electrolytic capacitors were replaced and the decayed glue removed, I then have to plug it into a junk motherboard together with a hard disk to test the performance of the ATX power supply and measure all of its output voltages. It seems like the output voltages were back to normal. Once everything is okay I then test it in a working CPU to check for the display.

The reason I test it with a junk motherboard first as a way not to cause my good motherboard to go bad just in case if the output voltages is still very high. Better safe than regret later. By the way you can't test a power supply without load otherwise it may turned on for a while and then shut down. If you do not have a junk motherboard you can always at least connect a hard drive and a wire jumper to its connector to turn on the ATX power supply.

Do you know that most ATX power supply is using dual schottky barrier rectifiers to convert the ac wave into DC voltages? Even in LCD Monitor power supply, a dual schottky were used in the rectification too. For your information, checking schottky diode is different from checking a normal diode. With analog meter set to X10 K ohms, it should show some leakage reading when doing the reverse bias test. If this component becomes faulty it is very easy to get a replacement, of course you have to get one with the right specification. That's all for today, hope you enjoy the article and come back more often to check out for any latest repair techniques that I'm going to share to you.

Auto Repair Shop Software - Computer Software For Auto Repairs

With the computer age taking over, more and more businesses are turning to software and other technology to use in their shops. All the old 500 page repair manuals and guides are being put on their shelves and left to build dust until someone desires their hard bound qualities.

It's no wonder that auto shops are one of the biggest buyers of the new software available today. It was not until the recent past 15 years that auto shops really started to get into the technological swing of things. Once a few companies had produced easy to navigate auto repair shop software, mechanics everywhere fleeted to the stores to get their copies.

Auto repair shop software makes the job of a well trained mechanic much easier, giving diagnostic tips and info, wiring diagrams and pictures of particular components or parts in the vehicle they have looked up. Those are basic skills in some of the older software, as new technology has produced software that can give exact labor estimates and calculate the price of needed OEM parts.

Auto repair shop software is available in its many forms, from simple repair guides to complex programs that help automobile engineers develop new ideas and products. From the cheap software to the pricey big time business programs, repair software can do just about anything you need it to do. I have even run into a few programs that will help the smaller time shop owner get into accounting and bookkeeping in their repair business.

What an amazing thing the world's best computer programmers could produce. From the brains of the world's best mechanics and diagram artists, this repair software has helped develop the mechanics way of life. Making well needed information easy to find and no more pages to flip through. No more old receipts with faded illegible writing. No more countless lost files or paper work. Everything can be transferred into electronic data and controlled through many of the different types of auto repair shop software.

Any shop that has not moved into the swing of the computer motion will be left in the dust. There's no money to be made in old time auto shops that do not have the equipment or software it needs to properly handle the large amounts of customer and vehicle data that come in. This productive software makes it to easy for almost any shop to thrive and earn revenue in the busy world. Which is why you see so many little lube shops popping up everywhere. The chains thrive on software that can basically tell the auto tech how to do their job. Even many of the educational programs for working on automobiles are focused around a set of repair programs that are common in most shops.

This is also the reason you don't see as many old time mechanic shops around either. They once relied on referrals and small towns to maintain a steady flow of business. Now those small shops have faded away as the neighborhoods grew larger, because they could not accommodate to the larger number of customers and cars that needed service. With just books and paper, even the most talented mechanic had troubles keeping up. On top of that, technology in vehicles is constantly evolving, and there is no way that a mechanic who has been working in the field for 20 years will know everything about the latest model of car.

Repair software makes getting the information you need a breeze, and help organize the mess of clients and their vehicles. It was developed for exactly that purpose, and it is understandable that almost every shop in the world is looking into purchasing or upgrading their software.

How to Repair a PCL XL Error

Occasionally HP printers can run into an issue known as a PCL XL error. Apparently, the PCL XL error makes it impossible to print certain documents. It can occur intermittently or with every request to print. Fixing it is key to getting the printer to work correctly again.

Different Types of PCL XL Errors

This type of error indicates an interruption in the print stream: for some reason, the printer sees the stream as corrupt. PCL XL refers to a "language" that the computer uses to communicate with the printer. HP forums describe it as being "highly structured," which is the reason that any little disturbance will be picked up by the printer and keep it from doing its job.

If the user only experiences these errors in an intermittent or seemingly random fashion, it is most likely that the error lies somewhere between the computer and the printer. Anything from a bad cable, to a bad network, to a bad port could lead to a PCL XL error. Possibly the printer itself is at fault.

If the error is more regular or produced every time a document is printed, the cause is most likely a driver issue. Drivers are the programs that let the computer communicate with the printer. These may be difficult to fix.

Several Ways to Fix PCL XL Error

Various activities can create problems with drivers. Changes to networks or the drivers themselves can trigger these errors. Unfortunately, staying on top of Microsoft update may also induce a driver error if one of the updates changes the driver. Try locating the printer's disk and reinstalling the drivers or going to the manufacturer's website to download them.

Sometimes, computers have been set up using universal drivers to communicate with the printer, and these seem to have more problems. Locate and download the exact drivers for the printer being used.

Another option that works well for some machines is to disable some extra printing features:

1. In the program you are working with, click File, then Print, then Properties, and finally Advanced.

2. Disable the "Advanced Printing Features" option.

3. Disable the "Print Optimizations."

This does not necessarily fix the error per se, but allows printing to continue without seeing the error message.

Driver Errors Can Be Registry Errors

Drivers talk to printers by way of the registry, since that is how the computer catalogues these various background files. If a registry entry has been corrupted that deals with the printer-computer connection, the the user may see an error. Research using a registry cleaner to fix a PCL XL error and get the printer running again.

Troubleshooting And Repair Power Supply The Easy Way

Troubleshooting linear power supply was quite easy as compare to switch mode power supplies (SMPS). AC voltage enters to the primary side of linear transformer and then converted the AC into a lower or higher AC voltage depending on the secondary winding. The output AC voltage is then rectified and filtered by a diode and capacitors to produce a clean DC voltage. If there is a problem in the linear transformer circuit, I can say that it is very easy to locate the fault. This is somehow different in the case of a switch mode power supply. The designs were complicated and some technicians found it quite hard to fully understand how the switch mode power supplies work.

The working principle of switch mode power supply is different from the linear type. First the AC voltage will flow to a full wave rectifier (bridge rectifier) which produces an uneven DC output and then filtered by a large capacitor (usually 220 micro farad and up to 450 volts). The clean DC voltage will then flows to start up resistors and to the input of switch mode power transformer. Once the voltage passed through the high ohms resistor (start up resistors) the voltage would drop to a value where it then flows to the VCC supply pin of Pulse width modulation IC.

Once the PWM IC received the voltage it will output a signal to drive the transistor (or FET) and produces a changing in magnetic field in the transformer primary winding. The changing magnetic field induces voltage in the secondary windings. Each of these AC voltage produced by the secondary windings is then rectified, filtered, and regulated to produce a clean DC voltage. One of the main DC output voltage is the B+ that supply to flyback transformer (for TV and Monitor Circuit)

The output from the B+ voltage supply is then connected, through a “feedback” loop (which consist of optoisolator ic and an error amplifier TL431 IC), back to the PWM IC. When the voltage from the B+ supply rises or drop a bit, the PWM IC will act to correct the output.

If you still do not understand the above explanation, please do not be discourage because you can always buy technical books and schematic diagrams and read it till you get the whole idea of how a SMPS work. You can ask a repair friend or even surf the internet for a better and easy explanation.

Here I would like you to download a free SMPS article by Sencore and I found it to be a great help for you who are still struggle on how SMPS work and how to troubleshoot when it fails. You must ask your self what is the purpose and its function of the components in the SMPS circuit and how to check them if they fail. Find out on your own the function of these components in SMPS circuit:

Bridge rectifier,

Filter capacitor,

Start up resistors

Chopper/Power FET

Pulse Width Modulation (PWM IC)

Current sense resistor

Switch mode power transformer

Optoisolator/optocoupler

Error Amplifier IC (TL431)

Secondary diodes

Secondary filter capacitors

Push yourself further by searching the internet for the datasheet of a PWM IC part number. For example, UC3842 PWM IC is mostly used in SMPS. Do you know what the function of pin 5 of this IC is? Do you know which pin the VCC supply enters? Do you know what the actual voltage that flow to the IC is? Do you know which pin that drives the power FET? Can I get a replacement for this IC? And so on………

Let’s take a soldier as an example. Soldiers not only good in handling rifle but also knows all the details about it. They know how to dismantle and assemble back their rifle fast (imagine in the middle of war the rifle jammed-they can repair it fast). They know how much each bullet cost, how far the shooting distance, how big is the diameter of the bullet, how many cm the length of the bullet and so on. Hope you don’t get bored with the soldier’s story, did you get the ideas?

Any SMPS that comes across my repair bench, I would not immediately repair it, in fact I will take couples of minutes to analyze the circuit design and see it from all angles before I begin to repair. Troubleshooting SMPS is not limited to only one procedure in fact many electronic repairers have their own unique ways and methods to solve SMPS problems. Some prefer to use light bulb to isolate SMPS faults while others like to use resistors. Troubleshooting SMPS is fun and flexible but in some cases could make you get very frustrated too.

Remember, don’t limit yourself to only one or two sources to get you understand and be able to repair SMPS. If you have the budget, get the books that have related to SMPS repair-study and start doing practical about it. Share your problems with other fellow electronic repairers and the most important thing is don’t give up. There’s lot of mountain in the journey of our live and you yourself have to climb and conquer it. All the best!

3194 Error Repair Tutorial - iTunes Restore Error Fix

You may encounter 3194 error when you attempt to downgrade iOS4 to 3.1.3. This error is occurs because your PC is unable to restore the old version iPhone 3.1.3 firmware as it tries to run the downgrading process from iOS 4. This problem can occur to any type or computer model and is linked to the setbacks of iTunes and the files it uses to restore the iPod or iPhone. It may also be the case if you have issues in your registry causing this error to appear.

What Causes Error 3194?

The typical error message that would be displayed on your screen is in this format:

"The iPhone "Tommy's iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (3194)."

The main cause of this problem is the fact that Apple now signs the firmware and users cannot do any upgrade or downgrade if they use a firmware that Apple has not signed off on. This issue may be addressed if you use an older firmware signed by Apple, however, this resolution may not work every time. To downgrade iOS 4 to OS 3.1.3, you may apply these steps.

How To Fix Error 3194

The first thing to do is to replace the "Hosts" file of Windows that would incorporate Apple.com.

To perform this task, you have to locate the path "c:windowssystem32driversetc". After that, look for the "hosts" file in notepad format. This can be done by pressing "Open With" and then choosing "Notepad" as you right click the file. Once opened in notepad, you have to type "74.208.10.249gs.apple.com" at the bottom of the document. After that, you have to make sure the connection of your iPhone device to iTunes is in recovery mode. To be able to do this, start by switching off your device. Then on the handset, select the "Home" button and plug the USB cable. As soon as you successfully connect the USB cable, it will boot up and you will find the message "Connect To iTunes" shown on your screen.

After this, you have to restore your iPhone or iPod. You can begin doing this by starting your iTunes. Then you will see that your iPod/iPhone Touch will be detected in recovery mode. Now, click the "SHIFT" key for users of Windows while also pressing the "ALT" key, however if you are a Mac user you must also press on the "Restore" button. After that, select OS 3.1.3. This method will enable you to use this version on your iTouch device.

Another way to resolve this error is to run a registry cleaning program in your system. The registry is one of the potential reasons why errors like 3194 are triggered. The "registry" is a central database that records important files, information, settings and options. In order for Windows to load up and run programs, it has to read the required files it needs to perform tasks through this database. Unfortunately, the registry oftentimes gets corrupted, damaged, infected, or clogged up making your Windows not able to read the necessary files properly. As this happens, your PC's operation will slow down and Windows will not correctly load the programs. To eliminate this issue, you have to download and run a registry cleaner tool which will scan through your system and fix all the errors inside. One highly recommended tool is the "Frontline Registry Cleaner", a widely used software that has proven efficacy in fixing errors and problems on your computer.

How To Repair Dell E173fpb LCD Monitor Easily

Troubleshooting DELL E173FPB LCD Monitor with power blink symptom is quite easy if you know the right procedure to test it. There are two sections in the monitor that can cause power to blink. It is either primary or secondary section or even sometimes both sections can be faulty. So to isolate as which section is giving problem. I used an automobile 12 volt light bulb (brake light) and connect it between the 12 volt supply line and cold ground with the fuse removed. If the bulb still blink chances is very high the power primary section have problem.

Do not overlook the other voltages line as well such as the 3.3 and 5 volts. If any components shorted that gets the supply from the 5 and 3.3 volts, the power also may blink. If the 12 volts bulb lights up we can assume that the power supply is working fine and something shorted further down the line that makes the power supply to blink. If the bulb lights and you continue to check the power section, it will be going to waste your time. You should now concentrate on the secondary section circuit such as the four transistors C5707 that drive the high voltage transformer in the inverter board.

Just think these transistors like horizontal output transistor (HOT) in the CRT monitor that drive the flyback transformer where it worked so hard and chances for it to breakdown is very high. Checking the four transistors off board found one of them have a shorted reading with an ohmmeter.. This transistor can get faulty by itself or it could be some others components that caused it to develop a short circuit such as a defective high voltage transformer but all of the four high voltage transformers checked to be okay with ringer and ohmmeter test.

Now, here is the secret that I'm going to reveal. If you just replace the defective transistor only, chances is very high the transistor or another C5707 transistor will breakdown again. Usually what a technician does is to test the other transistors with either an analog or digital meter. If you use both meters to test the transistors then you have missed out on the faulty transistor because both meters won't reveal to you the hfe reading of the transistors. Only some digital meters have the hfe checking feature. In other words, you have to use test the hfe reading of a transistor. Although you can replace the other three transistors directly, why not we do some detective work to find the cause of the problem?

Using the Peak electronic atlas component analyzer, I could clearly see the different between a good and a bad transistor. A good C5707 transistor has hfe reading from 320 to about 390 but the bad one reads 467! The other two C5707 transistors have reading about 350. In the above case only two C5707 transistors were replaced and you save the other two. I had burn in test this LCD monitor for many days and it worked perfectly fine.

Conclusion- Whether you repair the DELL E173FPB LCD Monitor or any other model such as the E172FPB or E171FPB, basically the testing method is the same. You could also use this testing procedure on other brand of LCD Monitor too.

What Does a Computer Repair Technician Do?

A very general description of a computer repair technician is an individual who is responsible for computer system and equipment maintenance to maximize their efficiency. Also, the computer repair technician must repair any computers that require fixing. However, a technicians aren't just a simple mechanics, they are qualified specialists.

Why Are Technicians Specialists?

A diploma or certificate is needed to become a computer repair technician. Getting an education will arm a technician with theoretical knowledge in addition to the practical facets of repair and maintenance. Simply getting training on the job is will not suffice. Knowing how to repair computers is important, but equally as important is knowing why the problem occurred so that steps toward prevention.

A computer repair technician will generally work in an environment that is very specialized. For instance, they could work for a software company, a corporation's IT department, a retail computer store's service center, and many others. Specialized knowledge will be required for each job that technicians from other areas will not have.

Technicians also have to work with equipment that is frequently very specialized; including laptops, PCs, servers, networks, routers, and many others. Also, a company may have applications that are top secret and need a technician on hand to make sure that the most important systems are functioning with maximum efficiency. Because computers are being heavily relied upon by businesses for operations and making decisions, a technician has a critical role in ensuring that everything is running smoothly.

Is Formal Training And Education Necessary?

No, it's not absolutely essential. However, if a computer repair technician doesn't have any formal education/training, then he or she is very limited in what they can do. Those who learn on the job can is typically limited to repair work only.

Also, he or she must be supervised by a qualified technician who can determine the source of the problem. Those who don't have qualifications won't have opportunities for advancement to positions that involve planning and management.

Even if you don't aspire to advance to management positions, getting a diploma is still the best way to go. You could start off with a general course that is short in duration, followed by a specialized course that lasts a longer period of time, perhaps six months or so.

This specialized course would involve an advanced part of computer repair. Working for a year and then taking an advanced course is probably the best course of action. If you go by this plan, you can get your advanced diploma in approximately two years and have work experience as well.

Computer Repair Shops in Albuquerque NM - Eight Points to Consider When Choosing a PC Repair Store

If your computer system is broken and you need computer repair in Albuquerque NM then you have to decide which local computer shop will provide the best service and do the best job.

Lets look at a common cause for computer failures and eight very important considerations you should keep in mind when deciding where to take your desktop computer, or laptop, for repairs.

There's nothing more frustrating, and even frightening, then having your computer breakdown and stop running. Not having the ability to use your computer is bad enough, but the possibility of losing all of your data is an even greater fear for most of us.

Your computer can crash for any number of reasons but the most common cause for computer failures these days is primarily because of software; usually a computer virus.

Modern computer hardware is very reliable and is seldom the culprit when your computer stops working. Computer viruses are responsible for more problems than anything else nowadays.

So how to do you know if your computer is infected with a virus? Here are some common symptoms:
Slow running computer
Computer constantly locks up
Programs take forever to load
Constant Pop-ups
Computer reboots itself
Blue screen
Error messages

Most of us don't really think too much about getting a computer virus until it happens to us. And, of course you backed up all of your computer data right?

If you think you have a computer virus the first thing you should do is run anti-virus removal software. Malwarebytes is a free piece of software I've run successfully on many computer systems. Search for it on Google and get it!You don't have to be a geek to install it.

If you can't fix your computer problem with a virus scan, or you have a hardware problem then you need to go to your local shop and get the problem taken care of.

Choosing the best computer repair shop then becomes the issue.

There are many popular computer repair stores in the Albuquerque area some of which include:
Dr. Dans Computers 4405 Cutler Ave NE, Albuquerque NM
Sandia Computers 3625 Wyoming Boulevard Northeast, Albuquerque NM
Computer Corner 4410 Menaul NE, Albuquerque NM

Do you want reliable, fast, friendly, affordable and professional service with great customer support? We all do right? So do a little homework and save yourself possible headaches when deciding on where to take your computer for service.

Considerations When Deciding Where To Take Your Computer For Repair
Eight Points

1 Location:
This is an obvious one. No one wants to drive thirty miles to get their computer fixed. Look for a computer store within a reasonable distance from your home.

2 Professionalism
You can spot a professional computer store a mile away. You will get a good sense of this the moment you walk in. Are you greeted promptly with a smile? How is the staff dressed? What is the condition of the store? Your first impression will tell you a lot.

3 Fast Turnaround
When your computer is broken you don't want to wait days and days in order to get it fixed. Pick a computer shop which can get you up and running in a reasonable amount of time. Of course you may have to wait a couple of days on average, but same day computer service ranks high in most people's book.

4 Experience
Generally speaking,if a computer repair business has been around more than ten years it's a fair assumption their well established and know what their doing.

5 Affordability
You don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get your computer fixed. Labor is generally where the bulk of your cost will be so ask a lot of questions so there will be no misunderstanding when you return to pick up your computer system.

6 Personal Consultation
A free consultation is a big plus. If you can get a free assessment without obligation of what's wrong with your computer system before you agree on repairs then go for it. You will most likely give them the business because they showed a sincere interest in you.

7 Warranty
A warranty or guarantee on work performed should be a given. If you're not offered a warranty turn around and walk out.

8 Certified Technicians
Ask whether or not the service technicians are certified. This is something oftentimes overlooked but it's a fair question. You really don't want the store owners buddy working on your laptop do you?

If you have been the victim of a computer virus or computer hardware malfunction and can't get your computer to work, you've probably felt mad and helpless.

Although it might feel like the end of the world it's not. You can get your computer repaired from a qualified computer repair shop;just take your time and shop around.

How To Fix Nv4_disp Dll Errors - Repair Errors Caused By Nvidia Graphics Drivers Today

Nv4_disp.dll is a file used by Nvidia Graphics Card Drivers to help them render many of the important graphics & settings that your system needs to use each day. Although Nvidia are normally very good with their software & driver updates, in February 2010, they released an update which caused many computers to enter into an infinite loop, leading to the blue screen of death. The error shown will normally implicate Nv4_disp.dll as the cause of the error - making it a high priority to repair the file & settings causing the error to show.

The error specifically forms when the Nv4_disp.dll file causes your system to enter into an infinite processing loop. This prevents your PC from being able to process the graphics & drivers your system requires to run, leading it to just show you an error. To ensure that this problem is not a major issue, you need to be sure you can both fix the driver issues on your computer and prevent it from recurring.

The first step to fixing this error is to actually use a patch developed by NVidia forum members. This patch is a small software tool that will edit the various files / settings that are specifically causing the problem and will lead your system to run much smoother again. Although this patch is a third-party development (not an official Nvidia release), it's been used by several hundred people to quickly repair the worst this issue has to offer. You can download the patch from the NVidia forums. You may also want to try and update the NVidia driver on your PC, either automatically or manually - as NVidia may have repaired the issue with a later release.

You should also use a "registry cleaner" program to scan through your computer and fix any of the problems that it has inside. A registry cleaner is a powerful type of software which scans through your system and repairs any errors that are inside the "registry database". The registry database is one of the most important parts of your system - storing a huge number of vital settings that Windows requires to use each time it's running. The only problem is that the registry is continually being damaged and corrupted, preventing your computer from being able to read the files it requires to run. This often causes a multitude of errors, and is a big reason why the Nv4_disp.dll error will form. To ensure there are no registry errors on your PC, it's recommended you use a registry cleaner program to scan through your system and fix any problems it has.

Simple computer problems like virus and worm attacks and slow operations can be remedied with routine maintenance tasks. HP Motherboard - Repair Or Replace?

If you have an error with your HP motherboard you are left to make a decision, do you repair or replace the HP motherboard? This can be a tricky question to answer at times, but 75% of the time a replacement of the motherboard can be faster and cheaper than a repair. When you opt to repair the board you are left with troubleshooting, fault finding and a lot of testing, all of which takes time and if you are not in a position to do this yourself, money also. However, if you opt for a straight replacement of the HP motherboard you can whip the old one out, get a replacement part and fit the new one in all in a few hours and be back up and running again in no time.

As the greater percentage will benefit more from a replacement HP motherboard as opposed to the repair of the motherboard I would like to take a moment to look at ways we can go about this, how to benefit when we do buy a replacement HP motherboard and how to make sure you receive a quality part that is in a good working order.

Firstly a main benefit of cost and time saving can come from purchasing your replacement HP motherboard online as opposed to from a computer store or other high street store, this is due to online stores having a lower overhead cost than that of a retail store, which means any quality online shop will bounce these savings onto their customers. The next benefit is in the shape of dedication and professionalism, if you select the right store to trade with they will be a site that is dedicated solely to laptop spares and accessories, meaning that you are purchasing your motherboard from a real dedicated site - which means they know their business.

On top of this and to ensure you get the quality you deserve, not only select a dedicated site, but also a site that tests their parts prior to shipping and offers a guarantee on your HP motherboard, such as a Never Fail guarantee, so you know in the unlikely event that something is wrong upon receipt there will be no stress or hassle trying to explain it to the company, just a straight and simple swap for another motherboard within a couple of days of postage.
