Nortel VPN Client Overview

The Nortel VPN Client provides secure connectivity for VPN users in a private network.
Once you get through iPass and the iPass screen, you are now the authentication by the Nortel VPN and iPass does not.
When you first connect, or the PIN has been reset, you will only enter your username and token ID.
The PIN field should be empty. If you have connected before, you are the user name, PIN and tokenId.
When you are ready, a link is click the Connect button. You may be asked if you want to save the connection if this is your first time you connect. Should (note, please select YES)
If it is not the first time, or the PIN has not been reset, you will be simply connected at this point.
Enter a 4 to 8-digit PIN in the response. Once the pin is accepted, you will see the PIN + Token ID on subsequent connections.

Are you at home or in a hotel?

Click Start

Run

Type cmd in the box and press Enter (or OK)

At the DOS prompt: ipconfig / release and press the Enter key

Now enter: ipconfig / renew and press Enter to confirm - if the IP address changed

If so
IPASS log on again. Does this resolve the problem?

If No

If you are at home

Is there any other home computer (personal computer), which is connected to the router?

CloseRouter / modem and turn the laptop off (in an effort to release the IP address) Turn on the router / modem back on.

Turn the laptop on again and log in IPASS again.

Does this resolve the problem?

No

a. Unplug the router and then plug it into a separate outlet.

b. Try again IPASS registration.

If you are in a hotel

Is there a consent form for access to be completed?

Yes

Double-click the Internet Explorer

Thus the Web isPage for the site (homepage)

Complete / submit the consent page

Launch iPass.

If you do not have access IPASS you open a web browser page (click the Internet browser icon blue) E

Click Tools

Internet Options

Connections tab

"Settings" button and remove the checkmark from the checkbox proxy server for your LAN using a proxy server.

This will disable the proxy settings.

Click OK until the dialog box "Internet Options".

Try IPASS Registrationmore.

VPN error your token code is no longer valid
Contivity VPN Client: your token code is not valid anymore. Enter new token-code information.

You will receive this message if the token code changed just before you pressed the Enter key or Connect.

At the very left edge of the display of your token, you will find a column of several small horizontal bars.

The longer the token code is displayed, showing the fewer bars.

Immediately after theCode changes are six bars. If you wait just a bar, a few seconds for the code change before the command prompt on your screen.
