The other night I was on CNBC to debate the wisdom of the decision by Sprint to have to shut off phone service to more than 1,000 participants, who were told about using call-in customer support.

Sprint claims that it needs to save profits by cutting costs and blabbers and dissatisfied customers are disproportionately cutting into it.

Of course Sprint is chasing an illusion, a chimera, the idea that the path to sustainable profits with gloom, paved, thatParing knife cost is synonymous with the production gains.

Short-term, it works, but in the long run, the winners in the economy are the innovators, not take away anything, but add value.
